Srinagar, Sept 29 – A delegation from the Joint Committee of Women and Child Development in Uttar Pradesh, led by Chairperson Neelima Katiyar, paid a visit to Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan today.
During the meeting, the members of the Joint Committee briefed the Lt. Governor on their study tour’s visits and activities. They also shared their perspectives on the ongoing development landscape and the noticeable improvements in socio-economic conditions in Jammu and Kashmir.
The discussions revolved around the remarkable transformation that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed over the past four years, encompassing areas such as women’s empowerment, the tourism sector, the economy, education, peace, prosperity, and the restoration efforts for Dal Lake.
Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha highlighted a series of developmental initiatives undertaken in Jammu and Kashmir aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and responsibility within the governance system. “More than 1000 public services have been brought online, with many linked to an automatic escalation mode and financial penalties for service delays,” he stated.
