Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Wednesday lauded the Bharatiya Janata Party’s manifesto for poll-bound Jammu and Kashmir, calling it ‘inclusive’.

Speaking to ANI, Jitendra Singh mentioned that the manifesto is made in line of PM Modi’s vision of Vikshit Bharat.

“Like PM Modi has said that to develop Viksit Bharat, women will have the same role, every citizen will have an equal role, an inclusive ‘Sankalpa Patra has been announced.”

“For Youth’s coaching, Rs 10,000 to 20,000 have been decided so no youth feel abandoned because of their family’s economic condition and I believe that is why everyone will elect BJP’s MLA to strengthen PM Modi,” he added.

Speaking further on opposition parties’ idea of restorating Article 370 in J-K after coming to power in the region, Singh said, “I am sure the people of Kashmir will not agree with Kashmir-centric leaders who talk about bringing back Article 370 after Modi ji has put India on the path of development.”

BJP has made 25 promises, focussing on women, youths, Kashmiri Pandits, restoring temples and wiping out terrorism BJP J-K chief Ravinder Raina described the manifesto as a ‘people’s manifesto’.

BJP, in its manifesto, focused on women-led development in Jammu and Kashmir.

It promised to implement ‘Maa Samman Yojana’ to provide Rs 18,000 per year to the senior most woman in every household in Jammu and Kashmir.

It also promised to provide assistance through the state government for Women SHGs on the issue of interest on bank loans.

There are a total number of 90 Assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir, out of which 7 seats are reserved for SCs and 9 seats are reserved for STs.

According to the Election Commission of India, Jammu and Kashmir has 88.06 lakh eligible electors.

In the previous Assembly elections, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) won 28 seats, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured 25, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) won 15, and the Congress won 12.(ANI)
