Jammu, July 26: Semifinals lineup has been drawn as JKCA Tigers, JP World, Heritage School and Jodhamal School sealed berth into the last four stage of the ongoing JKCA U-14 Boys Inter-School Cricket Tournament, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at various venues across Jammu and Srinagar.A statement issued here said that the conceptualised by Member Administration JKCA, Brig Anil Gupta and Member Cricket Operations and Development, Mithun Manhas with an aim to tap young talent, the first of its kind tournament is being held under the supervision of a quartet of Coordinators including Abdul Qayoom Bagaw, Vidhya Bhaskar, Meenu Singh Slathia (all CAC Members) and senior cricketer Sandeep Singh (Sunny). Meanwhile, at JP World School, JKCA Tigers thrashed Jodhamal School in an easy contest by 9 wickets. Batting first, Jodhamal School bundled out for 64 runs in 23.5 overs. Skipper Vahin Sharma was the top scorer with 15 runs, while Sanam Mahajan chipped in with 6 runs. From JKCA Tigers, Vihan Puri took 4 wickets, while Mehran and Ali Bilal shared 2 wickets each. In reply, JKCA Tigers chased the target easily in 9 overs by losing 1 wicket, thus won the match by 9 wickets. Rahat Raina contributed unbeaten 38 runs, while Chaitanya Dogra remained unbeaten on 13 runs. Principal JP World School, Aparna Kohli gave the player of the match award to Vihan Puri for his 4-wicket haul. In another match, KC International School thrashed DPS Jammu by a huge margin of 185 runs. Put into bat, KC International School scored a massive total of 235 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Tazahir Lone top scored with unbeaten 97 runs and Divyam Singh Rathore contributed 65 runs. For DPS School Abheer took 2 wickets. In reply, DPS bundled out for paltry 50 runs, thus lost the match by a huge margin. From KC International School, Devash Singh Rathore was the wrecker-in-chief who captured 6 important wickets and Trijal Dhar took 3 wickets. Tazahir Lone was declared as the player of the match for his splendid knock of 97 runs. He was presented the award by Ms Anupama Sinha, Principal KC International School. In yet another match, JKPS dubbed GD Goenka by a big margin of 135 runs. Batting first, JKPS scored 246 runs, losing 4 wickets in the process. Dhananjay Sharma top scored with 94 runs, while Shobit (47), Sukhtaj Singh (35) and Manan Singh (21) were the other major contributors. Aadish took 2 wickets for GD Goenka. In reply, GD Goenka scored 111 runs to lose the match by a big margin. Aahvaan Sanson scored 32 runs, while Aadish contributed 13 runs to the total. Jaideep took 3 wickets for JKPS. Dhananjay Sharma was adjudged as the player of the match. The player of the match awardees is being presented with SG English Willow Bats by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association.
