Budgam: Two residential houses and one cowshed were damaged in a fire incident in the Kanidajan Balla area in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday afternoon.
An official from the fire and emergency services headquarters in Budgam told Rising Kashmir that they received the fire call at 1:39 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. After the fire tenders from Pakherpora and Charar-I-Sharief A-B Fire Stations have reached the spot immediately to douse the flames and save the property.
“The fire incident took place in a residential house, which also spread to nearby houses, resulting in two residential houses and one cowshed being damaged in this fire incident,” an official said.
He said that property worth Rs 50 lakhs was involved in this fire incident, in which 15 lakhs of properties were damaged and 35 lakhs of properties were saved by the fire and emergency department.
“These two residental houses belonged to the five families that were living in these two residental houses,” an official said.
Adding that one of the residental houses belonged to Abdul Gaffar Wagay, Mohd Akram Wagay, and Ghulam Nabi Wagay, sons of Ghulam Khaliq Wagay, Another,residential houses was belonging to Abdul Reham Wagay and Ghulam Mohammad Wagay.
