Two persons held for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Baramulla

Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police have seized 02 vehicles and arrested 02 persons in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.

 

A Police spokesperson said that a police party under the supervision of SDPO Pattan Shri. Mohd Nawaz-JKPS assisted by incharge PP Mirgund seized two Tractors for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Mirchimar Mirgund Pattan. Besides, police have also arrested two drivers identified as Mohd Akbar Lone son of Gh Mohiuddin Lone resident of Hanjiwera and Javid Ahmad Chopan son of Gh Hassan Chopan resident of Shirpora Pattan for their involvement in the commission of crime. 

 

“Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pattan and investigation has been initiated”, he said.
