Jammu and Kashmir Police in Srinagar have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance & cash from their possession.
A Spokesperson said that Police team at a checkpoint established in Dalgate, arrested two drug peddlers identified as Aquib Ahmad Sofi son of Late Gh Mohi Udin Sofi resident of Buchwara Dalgate and Ashiq Hussain Dar @ Ashiq Kala son of Mohd Yousuf Dar resident of Dubji Bund Maisuma Srinagar. During search, substantial quantity of narcotic substance and cash amount of ₹5,000/- have been recovered from their possession.
“Accordingly, a case vide FIR. No. 02/2025 under NDPS ACT has been registered at Police Station Ram Munshi Bagh and investigation initiated. Both the accused persons have been arrested”, he said.
