Srinagar, Dec 23: To encourage women and provide them with a platform to boost their businesses and share ideas, the two-day “Ralun Milun” event commenced at the Broadway Cinema Complex here. Scores of women from various areas of the valley set up their stalls.

The organizer of the event, Sana Javid, stated that this event aims to give exposure to all those ladies who are running their small businesses at home. These women have no platform; the Ralun Milun event is exclusively for them, where they can discuss their ideas with each other, fostering the growth of their businesses.

In line to boost women’s businesses, the two-day exhibition has been initiated, and day one witnessed an overwhelming response from the people, encouraging the businesswomen of the Kashmir valley, the organizer said.

The organizer highlighted that women in the Kashmir valley are working in challenging circumstances and struggling to set up their small enterprises. Such platforms are not only helping them boost their businesses but also providing a space for them to exchange ideas and enhance their enterprises.

A lady from Srinagar city, while praising the Ralun Milun event, said it provided them a chance to showcase their innovative products exclusively. She mentioned that such events recognize and amplify women’s contributions in various fields.

The women who set up their unique product displays at the event were happy to see that they had an opportunity to showcase their products to people at the Golden Room, a venue known as an all-weather wedding destination. They expressed that this place provides a dynamic space for individuals to showcase their talents and accomplishments, apart from hosting marriages and corporate events.

Participants have expressed hope that similar events will be organized in the valley in the coming times, providing women with different ideas while interacting with different women.
