Jammu, Oct 19: After a Bihar migrant labourer was killed by terrorists in Kashmir’s Shopian district, Jammu Kashmir BJP President Ravinder Raina said on Saturday that the perpetrators behind the “crime” will soon be punished and Indian Army and J-K police are searching the area.
Raina told ANI, “This is a very sad news from Shopian. Cowardly Pakistani terrorists killed Ashok Chauhan, a labourer from Bihar. This is a very big crime. The entire area has been cordoned off by the Indian Army and J&K police and a search operation has been started. The terrorists will soon be punished for their crimes. Some people do not want peace to be established in the region.”
“The entire nation stands with the entire family of Ashok Chauhan in this hour of crisis,” he added.
Ashok Chauhan, a migrant labourer from Bihar was found dead with bullet injuries on Friday in Shopian district.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday condemned the killing of a migrant labourer in the Shopian district of Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Tariq Hameed Karra strongly condemned the killing, terming it “most unfortunate and shocking”.
“I am disappointed and equally pained to learn about the killing of Ashok Chouhan by the unidentified gunmen in south Kashmir,” Karra said in a statement, adding that killings in any form are highly condemnable and unacceptable.
“Such incidents must be stopped in the larger interest of peace and safety of common people,” the JKPCC chief said. He expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for their courage to bear the irreparable loss.
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra while condemning the killing of a migrant labourer said the entire nation stands united against such acts.
