Terrorists open fire on Army convoy in Rajouri

Jammu, Feb 26: An Army convoy came under firing from suspected terrorists on Wednesday late afternoon in Phall Village of Sunderbani in Jammu region.
“A vehicle, which was part of the Army convoy, was fired upon late afternoon today in Sunderbani however no injuries were reported,” Defence PRO, Suneel Bartwal informed Rising Kashmir, while adding, “Forces were immediately called in as part of reinforcement while an intense search operation was launched in the area”.
Phall Village is a forward village near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu region’s Rajouri district.
The terrorists, believed to be hiding in a forest in Sunderbani, fired some rounds at the army vehicle passing through the area.
The troops returned fire and reinforcements were rushed in to neutralize the terrorists, the officials said, adding that a search operation is underway in the area.
