Doda Aug 29: A poster making competition, under the aegis of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program, was organized across schools in District Doda under the guidance of District Election Officer, Harvinder Singh, and supervision of Nodal Officer SVEEP, (CEO) Parkash Lal Thapa.
The event aimed to encourage students to express their creativity and thoughts on the importance of participating in the upcoming Assembly Elections on September 18, 2024.
Students from various schools showcased their artistic talents, creating vibrant and thought-provoking posters highlighting the significance of voting, democracy, and civic engagement. The competition was designed to inspire young minds to become active participants in the electoral process and exercise their right to vote.
The event was a resounding success, with students demonstrating their enthusiasm and creativity. The posters will be displayed in schools and public spaces, serving as a reminder of the importance of electoral participation and encouraging others to cast their votes on September 18, 2024.
This competition has not only showcased the artistic talents of our students but also encouraged them to think critically about their role in the democratic process-Parkash Lal Thapa, Chief Education Officer Doda said.
