Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a terrorist associate in North Kashmir’s Handwara and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession.
A Police spokesperson said, “On specific information Handwara Police along with 22RR and 92 BN CRPF, established snap Naka at Unisoo and apprehended one terrorist associates namely Ishfaq Majeed Dar S/o Abdul Majeed Dar R/o Latti shart Sopore. During his search 01 Pistol along with 02 Magzine, 12 rounds, 01 Mobile phone and Banned Posters were recovered from his possession.”
“In this regard a case FIR No. 198/2024 under relevant sections has been registered in Police Station Handwara and the investigation is underway”, he said.
This operation further ascertains the continued efforts of Handwara Police against anti-national elements by thwarting a potentially grave terrorist incident in Handwara. The Police and security forces welcome any such actionable inputs from the general public and assure swift action as per law.
