Udhampur, Aug 28: BJP spokesperson Ranbir Singh Pathania on Monday said that after the abrogation of Article-370, the morale of security forces is on an all-time high and subversive elements are on a defensive mode.
“They are struggling for their own existence,” he said, adding that the zero-tolerance policy of the government has virtually yielded results.
“If it comes to see the statistics, the number of collateral damage, the total number of militants neutralised, the total number of alive militants, number of security cordons, the statistics singularly suggests that militancy in J&K is on its last legs,” Pathania added.
The BJP spokesperson was interacting with scores of delegations hailing from various far-flung areas of district Udhampur.
He said that J&K will develop as a model of development with quality roads, drinking water supply, and good educational, sports-related, infrastructure facilities in far-flung areas of Udhampur.
While interacting with a deputation of VDCs, he congratulated them for hiked remuneration.
A deputation from the village Basantgarh demanded immediate overall of Ramnagar to Basantgarh road. It is being built under various projects and various centrally sponsored schemes (CRF, PMGSY upgradation, district sector).
Pathania said that the executive agencies should get the work completed in a time-bound manner and they should also keep operational the roads under execution so that the impending traffic is not only affected.
