Just scrolling through LinkedIn, I see a lot of women empowered and empowering. The successful stories of these women who stood up for themselves be it a business woman, administrators, entrepreneurs or a housewife engaged in small startup’s. Women nowadays have taken such assignments; they are working in such fields, which was beyond our mind once upon a time. But indeed all women who are independent, fighting against all odds, standing against all the criticism, is something that we must be proud of.
Lucky is the woman who finds a supportive and encouraging partner, father, friends, and for that matter a small positive comment by an unknown person on a social networking site. My day starts with going to Instagram and LinkedIn and seeing women over there encouraging themselves, encouraged by the positive and supportive people of the world is worth appreciating. This world is full of toxicity. Anyone who comes up with a positive approach towards your success is really a person who respects your struggles and appreciates your achievements.
A daughter will never forget her father for the support he provided to her, the person who moved mountains for her well being, confidence and where she was about to fall. She was encouraged to do it again. With confidence her father says “Success is near my darling”. The prominent female photographer of the valley “Sahiba wani” travels miles to reach her clients and is dropped and picked by her father. No daughter can be more lucky than this. Anam khan, Instagram influencer, runs a cafe, the way she hosts is really appealing and how she manages everything there and talks about her successes and failures on social media platforms. It boosts confidence. It’s not only your success; it’s a message to all those women who still believe that they can’t do it.
Leave that table immediately which discourages, lowers your confidence or makes you feel that your idea is just a waste. Last but not the least the largest food chain of kashmir “Parsas” where you just step in and we are welcomed by the women, the waitresses, billing executives etc. The woman taking charge is worth celebrating. How the owner Javed Parsa has maintained gender equity and most important is his support and the place he is providing to a girl “sharika” who welcomes you there with all the confidence and love. It’s not really easy to take the first step.
We usually pair up with people who have complementary skill sets and voices as us. Leave that table where disagreement is a norm, but trust your intuition we built strongest teams with people we pair up with. The successful business owners of India whose owners are life partners, for example, sugar cosmetics by Kaushik Mukherjee and Vineeta Singh. Menstrupedia by Tuhin Paul and Aditi Gupta. How the life partners start a small business together and their shared values and familiarity with each other’s working styles can become powerful tools in fuelling the other’s passion for success.
We all have to imbibe this courage to give up turf fears and work with people with complementary skill sets. Let’s thank all those people who stood for us. Let our true ones stand with us.
