Kargil, June 13: ALREZA-HC & RF, the health wing of Jamait Ul Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil, successfully conducted a two-day Minimally Invasive Surgery camp at District Hospital Kargil. The camp featured renowned minimally invasive surgeon Dr. Akhtar Ganai from Kashmir, alongside Dr Sajjad Hussain and Dr Mohd Abass, both consultant surgeons at the hospital’s Department of Minimally Invasive and Laparoscopic Surgery.
During the camp, the surgical team performed a total of 12 major and complicated surgeries. The sessions started at 8:00 AM and continued until the evening. The anaesthesia team, headed by Dr. Abass Ali, played a crucial role in the smooth execution of the procedures.
The camp utilized two advanced laparoscopic machines equipped with 4K systems, operating in the hospital’s state-of-the-art modular OT theatres. Additionally, the latest H2O2 Cold Plasma Sterilization technology was employed to ensure optimal safety and hygiene standards.
The inauguration of the camp was graced by Dr. Fatima Banoo, Incharge CMO Kargil, and Dr. Stanzin Namgyal, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kargil, along with Dr. Akhtar Ganaie and his team. The event saw the presence of the Deputy MS, doctors, paramedical staff, and volunteers from AL-REZA HC & RF Kargil.
In collaboration with the Department of Health Kargil, the camp received a warm welcome. The CMO and Medical Superintendent expressed their gratitude to Dr. Akhtar Ganaie for dedicating his valuable time to the success of the camp. Traditional Khataks were presented to honor the visiting team.
Dr. Mohd Abass, President of AL-REZA HC & RF, extended heartfelt thanks to Dr. Akhtar Ganaie for leading the successful surgeries. He also expressed appreciation to the Hon’ble CEC Kargil, Kargil administration, and the hospital staff for their support.
Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi, President of JUIAK, congratulated the doctors on the camp’s success and acknowledged the UT administration and CEC LAHDC Kargil for equipping the hospital with the latest technology. He praised the doctors for bringing advanced surgical techniques to Kargil and commended the efforts of the paramedical staff and volunteers.
