Srinagar, Dec 29: The School Education Department (SED) of Jammu and Kashmir has initiated the registration process for students ranging from class 6th to 12th, along with teachers and parents, to participate in Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC)-2024.
The 7th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha is a distinctive interactive program where Prime Minister Narendra Modi engages with students, teachers, and parents. This year, the event will take place in a town-hall format at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi, in January/February 2024. The Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, has successfully organized this event for the past six years.
Pariksha Pe Charcha is a unique initiative by Prime Minister Modi, aiming to alleviate exam stress among school students. The program fosters an environment where the individuality of each child is celebrated, encouraged, and allowed to express itself fully, bringing together students, parents, teachers, and society.
An official from the School Education Department in Jammu and Kashmir said that students from 6th to 12th classes can participate in the online Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) competitions on the MyGov Innovate platform to be eligible for selection. All participants will receive a certificate signed by the Director of NCERT.
“The participants may also pose questions that could be featured in the interactive program. The last date for registration and participation in PPC-2024 is January 12, 2024,” the official said.
PM Modi’s Pariksha Pe Charcha emphasises the holistic development of students, encouraging them to pursue their interests, maintain a positive outlook, and adopt effective study habits. It also promotes the active involvement of parents and teachers in supporting students during the crucial exam period.
The initiative also reflects the government’s commitment to understanding and addressing the challenges faced by students in the education system. By fostering a direct and personal connection with the Prime Minister, the initiative aims to create a positive and encouraging environment for students as they navigate the complexities of examinations and academic life.
