Srinagar, Jan 24 : As part of the nationwide campaign initiated by the Hon’ble Home Minister of India, the Drug Disposal Committee of District Srinagar has destroyed 121 kilograms of seized narcotic substances. These drugs were confiscated in connection with multiple FIRs registered across Srinagar.

The destruction process was carried out after obtaining the necessary orders from the competent court.

The committee, comprising senior officers from various wings of the police, conducted the operation at the designated incineration facility in Lassipora, Pulwama in presence of representatives from legal metrology and pollution control board departments.

The destroyed substances included Heroin, Brown Sugar, Crystal Meth, Fukki, Charas, and Codeine Phosphate, among others.

This initiative underscores the commitment of the Srinagar Police to eradicate drug abuse and contribute to the broader national effort to create a drug-free society.
