Soz welcomes allowing Er Rashid to take oath as MP

Srinagar, July 04: “I feel very glad to know that finally, Engineer Rashid has been allowed to take his oath as Member of Parliament tomorrow, July 5, 2024,” senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Saifuddin Soz said on Thursday.
In a statement issued here, Soz said, “I consider it to be an important event in the recent political history of Jammu and Kashmir that a person who represented the anger of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially the anger of the people of Kashmir, has finally made it to the Parliament of India.”
The Congress leader added, “I wish and pray that things remain normal and Engineer Rashid succeeds in expressing his ideas as a representative of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially the people of Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency. I also wish and pray that Engineer Rashid realises, in full measure, that his utterances in the Parliament of India have great significance for his political career.
I hope Er Rashid also appreciates that now he has a very important platform available to focus and express his ideas for his larger constituency – the people of Kashmir, Soz said.
