Jammu, July 23: A soldier was killed as the Army foiled an infiltration bid by terrorists along the Line of Control in Battal sector of Poonch district on Tuesday.
PRO Defence Jammu told Rising Kashmir that the infiltration bid by terrorists was foiled in Battal sector of Poonch in which one soldier namely Subhash Chander was injured who later succumbed to injuries.
The search operation in the sector is underway, he said.
The white knight corps in a post on X said that alert troops foiled an infiltration bid by effectively engaging infiltrating terrorists in the Battal sector at 0300 hours.
“During the exchange of heavy fire, one braveheart was injured. Operations are continuing,” the post said.
