Bandipora, Nov 10: Snow clearance operation is in full swing at the Razdan top in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district after snowfall blocked the Bandipora-Gurez road.
An official told Rising Kashmir that the snow clearance operation has been started with the latest heavy machinery in collaboration with the Border Roads Organization.
He said they are tactfully gripping the situation and aiming to complete the operation at the earliest.
On the opening of Bandipora-Gurez road, the official said that efforts are on to restore traffic within the shortest possible time but it will be opened subject to fair weather conditions.
Notably, the Gurez area remains cut off from the rest of the Kashmir Valley for the winter months due to the heavy accumulation of snow on the road.
