Jammu, Oct 13: Chitrakshi Chopra, a dedicated scholar from the School of Biotechnology at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), has been awarded the Best Oral Presentation accolade at the prestigious International Conference on Recent Trends in Biomedical Sciences (RTBS-2023).
The conference, organized by the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at Lovely Professional University, Punjab, aimed to foster collaboration among researchers, scientists, pathologists, and medical service providers, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and recent advancements in their respective domains.
Under the mentorship of Dr. Indu Bhushan, a respected faculty member at SMVDU, Chitrakshi presented a compelling paper titled “Microbial Communities in Women’s Reproductive Health: Insights into Vaginal Microbiota and Implications for Well-being.”
The paper, co-authored by Malvika Mehta, Pankaj Suden, and Dr. Indu Bhushan, delved into the pivotal role of the vaginal microbiome in various life stages of females. The study highlighted the significance of microbiota-targeted interventions, aiming to optimize the composition of a healthy microbiome. It underscored the importance of translational investigations in this vital field of research.
The experts at the conference lauded Chopra’s research work, recognizing its contribution to the field of biomedical sciences. It is noteworthy that Chitrakshi’s presentation stood out among more than 200 papers presented by participants from diverse countries.
