Jammu, Oct 13: A group of selected cadets from the NCC Naval wing embarked on a thrilling expedition from Jammu, destined for the prestigious All India Nau Sainik Camp 2023. This esteemed event is scheduled to unfold from October 14 to 24 at INS Shivaji, Lonavala, Maharashtra.
These dedicated cadets, meticulously groomed under the tutelage of the 1 J&K Naval Unit NCC, a vital component of NCC Group Srinagar, have undergone rigorous training spanning 60 days. The preparation has been intense and focused, geared towards equipping them for the challenging hurdles that lie ahead, PRO Defence said in a statement.
On October 11, the cadets were honored by a visit from Major General RK Sachdeva, ADG NCC Directorate Jammu & Kashmir. His presence infused the cadets with renewed enthusiasm during their final training phase at the NCC Training Academy in Nagrota. Over a friendly tea session, he shared invaluable insights and tips, encouraging the cadets to excel in the upcoming competitions.
The ADG commended the cadets for their exceptional dedication and relentless efforts. The contingent is primed to engage in a spectrum of competitions at the All India Nau Sainik Camp, including Drill, boat pulling, ship modeling, service subjects, seamanship, and semaphore. With their unwavering determination, the cadets are confident about delivering an outstanding performance.
“This voyage to INS Shivaji, Lonavala, stands as a monumental achievement for these young cadets, underscoring their resolute commitment to excelling in the realm of NCC Naval activities. The NCC Naval wing and the entire NCC fraternity of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh stand united in fervently supporting their pursuit of excellence,” the PRO said.
