Srinagar, July 15: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir is organising a three-day national conference of Immunology and Biotechnology (VIBCON-2023) on ‘Leveraging Emerging Biotechnologies for One Health’ from July 27-29, 2023 at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Shuhama campus.
The 27th Annual Convention and Conference of the Indian Society for Veterinary Immunology & Biotechnology (ISVIB) is being jointly organised by the ISVIB and the SKUAST-K’s Divisions of Veterinary Microbiology & Immunology along with Animal Biotechnology under the sponsorship of the World Bank-funded National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NAHEP) for institutional development of SKUAST-K in collaboration with ICAR and other national research organisations.
The VIBCON-2023 is open for academicians, scientists, veterinarians, public health professionals, research scholars, students, livestock entrepreneurs, environmentalists, policymakers and other stakeholders in the area of immunology and biotechnology nationwide.
The workshop aims to address the challenging ‘One Health’ issues related to antimicrobial drug resistance, emerging, reemerging and existing diseases, latest development of diagnostics and vaccines. In addition, the conference will encompass monoprophylaxis immunodiagnostics and biotechnological interventions for enhancing animal health and production.
Candidates interested in participation can register via SKUAST-K website. The conference is registered with JK Medical Council and is credited with 12 CME Credit points.
Dean FVSc Prof Mohammad Tufail Banday held a special meeting today to review the preparations of the conference.
