SANJY-2025: DC visits Yatra transit camp Pantha Chowk

Takes stock of arrangements for pilgrims

Srinagar, April 19: In wake of upcoming annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Saturday conducted extensive visit of Yatra Transit Camp, Pantha Chowk to take stock of arrangements being made for the convenience of pilgrims and smooth conduct of yatra.
DC also inspected Yatra Bhawan to oversee available facilities and preparations regarding the annual yatra. “DC inspected sites identified for setting up different facilities at the venue including Langar, health centre, RIFD counter, besides arrangements related to electricity, drinking water, sanitation, parking space etc,” an official statement said. “He directed for ensuring close coordination among Departments to ensure all the arrangements are put in place well in advance before the commencement of the yatra.” Further, he also inspected the spaces where Langars shall be established to serve food to the pilgrims during their stay at the camp. He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar Aadil Fareed and other senior officers of the district administration.
