Srinagar, Nov 08 : A heated argument witnessed in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Friday between National Conference (NC) leader Tanvir Sadiq and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC) chief Sajad Gani Lone over the latter’s criticism of an NC resolution.
Sadiq, responding to Lone’s remarks that the NC resolution was weak and urged the party to reconsider it for the sake of history, expressed confusion over the source of Lone’s stance. “I don’t know where from these five leaders are getting their directions,” Sadiq remarked, visibly agitated.
The exchange between the two leaders escalated as both sides exchanged sharp words, drawing attention in the Assembly. Lone had earlier suggested that the NC’s position on the resolution lacked the necessary strength and foresight, adding that it could have a significant historical impact if reconsidered.
