In addition to spreading awareness on Central Government schemes, various “Jan Bhagidari” events are also being conducted as part of the programme,” Chief Spokesperson BJP Mahila Morcha J&KUT Ritika Trehan said on Friday.
Interacting with the people of Channi as a part of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Ritika said, “The vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is that nobody should be left behind and Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra will be helpful in achieving this goal. More than 2.5 lakh gram panchayats will be covered over two months with a van, IEC van, and several departments participating. Seventeen schemes have been identified for rural areas and 17 different schemes for urban areas, which will be the focus of this particular yatra.”
She added, “The name of the yatra is ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’, so, it is a pledge that we will move towards a developed country.”
The BJP leader the Prime Minister has been focusing on doubling the income of the farmers. “Women have been a very special area in the Nari Vandan Bill which was passed by the government last month. Then, children have also been a focus area of the Prime Minister, with his interactions during examinations and throughout the year also,” she said.
