Srinagar, July 23: Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education (H&ME) Department has taken serious note of doctors who have not yet registered on generic software for MedLeaPR, an application to be implemented for medico-legal examination and post mortem reports.
Earlier, the health department had nominated nodal officers for the implementation of the MedLeaPR project in Jammu and Kashmir.
An H&ME order said that dummy generic software has been created for the UT of J&K wherein all the health institutes have been registered. It said that so far some around 2,500 individual doctors have also registered themselves on the portal till date.
As per officials, earlier in a communication, the health department had asked all the Principals of Government Medical Colleges/ Government Dental Colleges as well as Director Health Services Kashmir/Jammu to ensure that all the doctors register themselves on the dummy generic software created for the purpose.
“However, it has been observed that many doctors have not yet registered themselves, which has been viewed seriously by the authorities,” the officials said.
The H&ME has issued directions to all doctors to register on generic software for MedLeaPR, an application to be implemented for medico-legal examination and post mortem reports.
“It has become imperative that registration of individual doctors as per the directions issued by the Government takes place in a time bound manner so that the MedLeaPR project is launched in Jammu and Kashmir at the earliest” the order said.
Now all the doctors (MBBS/BDS) of H&ME Department are hereby directed to register themselves on the generic software for MedlLaPR in consultation with concerned nodal officers by or before 31st of July 2024.
“Non-compliance shall be reported in the form of weekly pendency of registrations by respective DDO’s/Nodal Officers forthwith to the concerned Heads of the Department of H&ME Department for initiating appropriate action against the concerned doctor,” it said.
Officials said these directions have been passed by the Secretary Health and Medical Education Department for immediate compliance in letter and spirit by all concerned.
“Any guidance/assistance, if needed, may be sought by the doctors by contacting the concerned District/Institute nodal officers whose details are enclosed as Annexure ‘A’ to this order,” it said.
The government has also issued a list of 31 hospitals/healthcare facilities along with their concerned nodal officers with their names and phone numbers where doctors can contact for the implementation of MedLeaPR.
191 new medical officers selected by JKPSC
Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education Department, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah has said that 191 New Medical Officers have been selected by JKPSC for posts under the Department of Health & Medical Education J&K.
The Secretary said that 191 New Medical Officers will help address the gaps in Human Resource and lead to a major fillip in the healthcare of J&K.
The H&ME has also issued an order and accordingly asked all the concerned selectee Medical Officers to submit their email address and mobile number in the Health and Medical Education Department, Civil Secretariat, Srinagar/Jammu for registration under “Employee Verification System (EVS)” for verification of character and antecedents.
The order said that this must be done within a period of 07 days positively from the date of publication of this notice in terms of Circular No. 18-JK (GAD) of 2022 dated 20.05.2022 issued by the General Administration Department.
“In case, any candidate, who fails to submit his/her email address & mobile number within a prescribed period of 07 days, it shall be presumed that the candidate is not willing to opt for such appointment in Health and Medical Education Department and shall forfeit the right of appointment, without any further notice,” the order said.
