The president and patron of the Press Club of Kashmir, M Saleem Pandit met with His Excellency, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, at Raj Bhawan on Tuesday.
As per the statement issued here, The discussion focused on various issues related to the Press Club of Kashmir, particularly the welfare measures for media personnel in the Kashmir valley.
LG Sinha expressed his commitment to providing all possible support to strengthen the Press Club of Kashmir.
M Saleem also informed the LG about plans to organize seminars and workshops aimed at updating Kashmir-based media professionals on the new media policy.
The LG emphasized the importance of instilling a sense of responsibility among Kashmir-based journalists and fostering ethical values in media personnel operating under challenging conditions in the Union Territory.
The president Saleem Pandit appreciated the assurances of the Hon’ble LG to help the Press Club of Kashmir grow so that it would come up as a role model for other clubs in the country.
