Police solves burglary case in Sopore, Stolen property recovered

Police in Sopore have solved a burglary case by arresting 02 accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from their possession.

A Police spokesperson that Police Post Bus Stand received an application from one person namely Mohammad Yousuf Shah son of Abdul Gani resident of Seelo Sopore, stating therein that during intervening night of 7/8 December 2024, some unknown burglars have looted his Kiryana shop at Seelo Sopore. Accordingly, case FIR No. 251/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation was initiated.

During the investigation, some suspects were called for questioning. Investigating team with strenuous efforts and by using all available means zeroed in on 02 suspected persons who confessed their involvement in the commission of crime. They have been identified as Ubaid Shafi Hajam son of Mohammad Shafi Hajam resident of Seelo Sopore and Faisal Ashraf Shah son of Mohammad Ashraf Shah resident of Wadoora Payee. Both the accused have been arrested and, on their disclosure, stolen property was recovered from their possession.
