Police inaugurate T-20 Cricket Tournament in Handwara

Srinagar, Feb 22: As part of the Civic Action Programme 2024-25, Police inaugurated a T20 knockout cricket tournament at Bakiahaker Cricket Ground in Handwara area of Kupwara district.
The event was inaugurated by the wife of Martyr Ct Mohd Rafiq Bhat, alongside SSP Handwara Shri Mushtaq Ahmad Chowdhary-JKPS, Dy SP DAR, SDPO Handwara, and other senior officers.
During interaction with the players, SSP Handwara highlighted the J&K Police’s commitment to promoting sports. He emphasized that such initiatives channel positive energy among the youth, foster a competitive spirit, and contribute to good health, steering individuals away from negative influences. He also assured continued support for similar events in the future.
