Rajouri, May 22: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a public rally at Dasaal in Rajouri which was addressed by the party’s General Secretary (Org) Ashok Koul, BJP National Executive Member & Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Member of Parliament Er Ghulam Ali Khatana, and Minister of State for Health in Madhya Pradesh Narinder Shivaji Patil.
District President Rajouri Dinesh Sharma, District Prabhari Yugal Dogra, and Subhash Sharma also addressed the gathering, the party said in a statement issued here.
In his address, Ashok Koul said the BJP’s policies created a transformative impact in J&K. “Peace, prosperity and development is the vision of new J&K under BJP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released us from the subjugation of the dynasties and we are free from their exploitation,” he said.
Dr Darakhshan Andrabi in her address criticised the previous regimes, saying J&K’s issues are because of three major political families. “Their tenures are testimony to the destruction they gave us. National Conference, Congress, and People’s Democratic Party are responsible for the bloodshed in J&K, and Modiji freed us from their clutches,” she said.
MP Ghulam Ali Khatana spoke on the empowerment of tribal and socially backward classes under BJP’s governance by enforcing central laws in J&K. “Tribal development was ensured by BJP only, while the traditional parties of J&K exploited them as a vote bank,” he stated.
Narinder Shivaji Patil expressed his satisfaction with BJP’s growing influence in J&K. “I am happy to see people’s trust and faith in BJP and the leadership of Prime Minister here in this border district of J&K. Modiji’s welfare schemes and his action on terrorism have opened a new future for the union territory after the abrogation of Article 370, ending separatism and violence,” he said.
Many community leaders and morcha representatives also spoke at the rally.
