Srinagar, July 13: Minister of State and Chairperson J&K Waqf Board Dr Darakhshan Andrabi on Thursday said that after the implementation of the Prime Minister’s vision for J&K three years ago; the peace, prosperity and development have become the key issues of the BJP government.
“While the whole world has recognised the constitutional changes in J&K, the political exploiters are feeling acute pain and as a result, they roam around making senseless statements,” she said while addressing a mega public rally of the Bharatiya Janata Party at Langate in north Kashmir.
The local BJP leader and Vice President of Langate Municipal Committee Jameel Ahmad Rather was also present. Dr Andrabi was accorded a rousing welcome by the people when she reached Langate Park at the site of the rally.
Welcoming Andrabi, Jameel Rather in his speech said she was the first leader in the contemporary political scenario of Kashmir who unconditionally resolves issues of the public without any discrimination.
Dr Darakhshan on the occasion said, “The new and changed J&K is in the process of peace, development and prosperity. I have succeeded in fulfilling the public demands submitted to me by the local leadership a few months ago.” She also spoke about her fulfilled promises of the establishment of a Fire & Emergency Services facility, bridge construction and her “successful” efforts for Degree College at Handwara.
“Our politics is always the public service with honesty and we are committed to serve the people with utmost transparency. People have started actively associating themselves with the developmental and welfare programmes of the government and with the cooperation of all. The BJP is slowly encroaching upon the false political domains of the dynasts,” the Waqf Board chairperson said. She assured the people about her services to the common man.
Dr Andrabi later on chaired a meeting of the representatives of the government departments and discussed the public-related issues with them. She stressed the need to resolve the genuine issues of the public on a priority basis.
