PDP seeks compensation for Guru Bazar fire victims

Srinagar, May 14: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Zuhaib Yousf Mir visited Guru Bazar on Wednesday to assess the aftermath of a devastating fire incident that damaged several houses in the area.
Expressing solidarity with the affected families, Mir called on the district administration to urgently provide compensation and rehabilitation support to those impacted by the tragedy.
Highlighting the need for enhanced safety measures, Mir urged the authorities to implement robust fire safety protocols to prevent such incidents in the future. “Srinagar city requires immediate attention and comprehensive measures to address its infrastructural and safety challenges,” he said.
The PDP leader reiterated his commitment to ensuring that the concerns of the affected residents are addressed promptly and effectively, pressing for coordinated efforts to rebuild and safeguard the community.
