Srinagar, July 10: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday nominated office bearers for the Lalchowk constituency’s youth wing during an impressive function.
The function was held at the office of Youth Wing Coordinator for Central Kashmir, and Lalchowk constituency in-charge, Zuhaib Yousuf Mir. Senior party leaders Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjoora, Abdul Hameed Kosheen, district president Abdul Qayoom Bhat and hundreds of others also participated in the meeting.
The party nominated Parvez Ahmad Rather as the District Vice President, Srinagar, youth wing. Also, the ladies’ zone was formulated on the occasion with Zainab as its president.
Nazim Bhat was designated as Vice President Youth, Lalchowk, while Faisal Bhat was nominated as Vice President Youth Lal Chowk, and Manzoor Sheikh as secretary youth Lalchowk.
After conferring new office bearers for the party’s Youth wing Lalchowk Constituency, Zuhaib spoke about “broken promises” of the Government of India vis-a-vis Kashmir and Kashmiri people. He emphasized on secularism in order to overcome the present issues and make the country a vibrant democracy.
Zuhaib strongly condemned the “withholding of democracy” in Jammu and Kashmir by delaying the assembly elections and statehood. He impressed upon the youth party workers and office bearers to stand for the party agenda based on the people’s interests and advocated by the worthy party president Mehbooba Mufti with full force.
