Srinagar, Feb 08: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday constituted a committee to examine and refine the draft reorganization proposal for the Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, J&K.
As per the details, the Director of Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Kashmir will be the chairman of the committee while as Director Finance, Department of Food, Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Director, Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Jammu will be its members. Special Secretary to the Government, Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs will be Secretary of the committee.
The primary goals of the committee are to finalize the reorganization proposal to ensure optimal use of manpower, create promotional avenues, rationalize post availability, and justify the proposal concerning ration cards, sale outlets, and future requirements.
The committee will also address existing disparities in executive staff, explore outsourcing possibilities for storage facilities and government sale centers, and work on a uniform structure, nomenclature for similar posts across both divisions.
The reorganization aims to identify posts for direct recruitment in the middle rung of executive cadre to promote competition and infuse young blood in the services.
The committee shall submit a reworked draft reorganization proposal within a period of 15 days.
