Paid obeisance at Kheer Bhawani Mata
Lays foundation for Yatri Bhawan, engages with KP community
Says Bhawanto get ready in next 8 months &it will accommodate 1000 pilgrims

Ganderbal, June 14: Lieutenant Governor ManojSinha led the foundation stone laying ceremony for YatriBhawan at Mata KheerBhawani Temple in Tulmulla, Ganderbal, marking the auspicious occasion of JyeshthaAshtami. Paying homage to Mata KheerBhawani, he prayed for peace, prosperity, and happiness for all devotees.
Interacting with the media, Lt Governor Sinha emphasized the UT Administration’s dedication to enhancing facilities for Mata KheerBhawani devotees. He announced the construction of YatriBhawan, costing Rs 3.85 crore, to provide comfortable lodging and sanitation facilities. “The Bhawan is expected to be completed within eight months, accommodating up to 1,000 pilgrims,” he assured.
Lt Governor Sinha praised the collaborative efforts of the District Administration, Relief Commissioner’s Office, police, security forces, and all stakeholders in ensuring the successful conduct of MelaKheerBhawani. “This year, over 30,000 devotees visited, facilitated by extensive arrangements including transport and amenities.Around 200 buses have arrived from Jammu, and both the administration and citizens have ensured the best possible facilities for the devotees,” he added.
During his visit, Lt Governor Sinha engaged with Kashmiri Pandit community members, discussing their concerns and aspirations.
NuzhatIshfaq, DDC Chairperson Ganderbal; Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir; Dr. ShahidIqbalChoudhary, Secretary, Rural Development &Panchayati Raj Department; Shyambir, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal; senior officials of the Civil and Police Administration and pilgrims in large numbers were present on the occasion.
