WHAT: An important mineral that is found in food. Phosphorus is regulated through a combined effort of the kidney, intestines and bones.
FUNCTIONS: It is a key nutrient for cell membrane, bone and teeth. It is needed for our genes manufacture- DNA, RNA. ATP, the energy base of the body, has phosphorus. Phosphorus keeps the acid base balance of our blood and regulates nerve and muscle function.
