Katra, Sept 21: NSS SMVDU Katra volunteers organized paper bag making event in the campus. Volunteers used old newspapers for bag making activity.
Around 80 NSS volunteers worked enthusiastically in the said event. The event was organized for two days and more than 500 paper bags were made by the volunteers. These bags will be donated to shopkeepers in nearby villages. They will be asked to use these bags in place of polythene for lightweight items. NSS volunteers will distribute these bags on regular basis so that use of polythenes could be reduced to some extent.
NSS student coordinators Sadhvi Sharma and Abhishek Sharma managed the event efficiently. NSS Programme coordinator Dr. Rajiv Kumar appreciated the efforts of the volunteers.
