Delhi, May 29: National Mission for Unity and Brotherhood (NMUB) will organize various programs in Jammu and Kashmir from next month to bring different sections of society on one platform.
In a meeting organized at IICC in New Delhi, attendees also stressed the normalization of relations between the Kashmiri Pandits and the local Muslims.
The meeting was addressed by Zaigham Murtaza, Kamal Chowdhury, and S. Narayana.
It is a part of ongoing efforts to maintain harmony and restore peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the meeting, Mission Convener and NCP leader Rakesh Sapru said that soon Milsar programs will be organized in all the cities of Jammu and Kashmir including Jammu, Srinagar, Pahalgaon and Anantnag.
Apart from Kashmiri Pandits and Muslims, all the people living in the country and abroad will be invited to these programs. Through these programs, not only efforts will be made to reduce the distance between people, but efforts will also be made so that people can understand each other better.
Another NCP member Sushma Bhat proposed that medical camps be organized on the yatra route towards the mission during the upcoming Amarnath Yatra. Supporting the proposal, Ramesh Sapru, NCP member, said that Amarnath Yatra is a better medium to reach out to people. On this occasion, people will also get an opportunity to make people aware of the culture and mutual brotherhood of Kashmir.
It also said that efforts should be continued to increase contact between Kashmiri Pandits and other sections of Kashmir in Delhi.
The speakers said that the work of involving various social groups, social workers, and institutions working in Kashmir should also be continued in all these programs so that Jammu and Kashmir can be restored to its lost glory.
