Nikhil Borkar transferred; appointed SSP Budgam

Srinagar, Apr 27: The government of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday transferred Nikhil Borkar (IPS), who served as SSP (Tech) at CID headquarters, and appointed him as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Budgam.
The decision, made amid the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in place due to Lok Sabha elections, was approved by the Chief Electoral Officer J&K.
The order issued by the Home Department states, “In the interest of administration, it is hereby ordered that Shri Nikhil Borkar, IPS, SSP (Tech) CID Hqrs., is transferred and posted as Senior Superintendent of Police, Budgam, vice Shri Al-Tahir Geelani.” Additionally, it states that “Shri Al-Tahir Geelani shall await posting at Police Headquarters, till further orders.”
