Srinagar, May 12: National Conference (NC) Chief Spokesperson and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq on Monday welcomed the resumption of Hajj flights from Srinagar Airport, set to begin on May 14. He emphasised the urgent need to increase the number of flights to ensure that pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir can complete all Hajj rituals in a timely manner.
In a statement issued here, Sadiq said the resumption of flights has brought immense joy to thousands of pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir who have long awaited the opportunity of a lifetime to perform Hajj.
“I extend our heartfelt gratitude to the relevant authorities for this timely action. The airport authorities and the Hajj committee must collaborate to devise a comprehensive plan to increase the number of flights from Srinagar Airport. This initiative will not only save valuable time for the pilgrims but also ensure that they can fully participate in all Hajj rituals alongside their counterparts from around the globe,” he added.
