Ganderbal, Feb 06: Under the nationwide campaign Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, 13 Bn Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Dignibal (J&K) organised an awareness programme at New Dreamland Educational Institute, Beehama, Ganderbal to address the growing issue of substance abuse among the youth.

The event was inaugurated by Som Nath, officiating Commandant, 13 Bn SSB, Dignibal, who welcomed the distinguished guests, teachers, parents, students, and media representatives. The program aimed to spread awareness about the dangers of drug addiction and inspire the youth to lead a healthy and drug-free life.

During his speech, Som Nath, Offg Commandant, 13 Bn emphasised the importance of collective efforts from parents, teachers, and community leaders in combating drug addiction. He highlighted the pivotal role of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in safeguarding the community not only from external threats but also from internal issues like drug abuse.

The campaign, supported by SEEKS NGO, Ganderbal, was part of the ongoing initiative “Udaan Say No to Drugs”, specifically focused on educating and empowering the youth to make positive life choices.

The event also included interactive sessions and feedback from participants. The students expressed their gratitude to 13 Bn SSB, Dignibal, for organizing the event and requested that more such awareness programs be conducted in the future to benefit the community.
