Ganderbal, Jan 30: Naranag a remote village in Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, finds itself cut off from the global grid, grappling with the absence of mobile connectivity. Residents lament the lack of a mobile tower in their area, emphasizing the impact on their ability to stay connected with the broader world.
Mobile phones, now an indispensable tool for global communication, remain elusive for the villagers of Naranag, leading to significant challenges and isolation. Locals paint a picture of tremendous hardships arising from the absence of this vital facility, underscoring the necessity of mobile connectivity in their daily lives.
Locals said that due to the poor mobile connectivity it also effect on their education, with the student community in Naranag falling behind their counterparts in other localities and districts of Jammu and Kashmir. Lack of mobile connectivity hampers access to educational resources, hindering the students’ ability to keep pace with the modern educational landscape, they said.
The residents appealed the administration to expedite the provision of basic network facilities in their area.
