Budgam, Feb 23: Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Budgam has blacklisted 25 vehicles and suspended three route permits and two driving licences for violation of traffic rules in various villages of the Chadoora tehsil in this central Kashmir district.
ARTO Budgam Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh told Rising Kashmir that they conducted the checking of more than 100 vehicles in various villages of Chadoora for traffic rules and road safety violations.
“During the checking, 25 vehicles were blacklisted on the spot, while two driving licences and three route permits were processed for suspension,” he said.
The ARTO Budgam said the documents of 25 vehicles were retained for further processing under the provisions of the MV Act of 1988. The amount of Rs 30,000 was realised as fines from the drivers found violating the traffic rules, he added.
