Srinagar, Apr 01: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Monday appointed the party’s senior leader and veteran politician Mian Altaf Ahmed Larvi as the candidate for the Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary seat.
Party Vice President Omar Abdullah, in the presence of Mian Altaf Ahmed, announced Mian Altaf’s candidature on behalf of party president Dr Farooq Abdullah.
Expressing happiness over the decision, Omar emphasised Mian Altaf Ahmed’s widespread popularity across various segments of society and expressed confidence that he would garner substantial support from the people.
Party General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, State Secretary Chowdhary Ramzan, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, and Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq were present during the announcement.
