Srinagar, Feb 20: Former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig on Tuesday said he is not affiliated with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Addressing reporters in Jammu, Baig clarified that he is not associated with the PDP and does not seek membership there.
“No, I am not associated with the PDP. I do not even seek membership there. If they were to ask me to join, I would urge them to prioritize national interest over personal political benefits,” he said.
On January 07, the death anniversary of PDP founder and former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Baig said he had never officially parted ways with the PDP but had remained inactive in political activities. (KNS)
