Srinagar, Mar 20: Peoples Conference President Sajad Lone chaired a block-level meeting on Wednesday, continuing an ongoing series of block meetings in the Handwara Constituency. The meeting was attended by scores of members hailing from Villgam-A, Upper Magam-A, and Drugmulla-A blocks.
The meeting witnessed the presence of senior party leaders including Abdul Ahad Kashmiri, Ashiq Hussain Sheikh, Waseem Raja, Block President Yaseen Sheikh, Block President Taimoor Shah & Block Secretary Mohammad Ashraf Lone, the party said in a statement.
The main focus of this significant meeting remained on bolstering a robust connection with the people and encouraging diligent work within their respective areas, along with requisite preparations for the upcoming Parliamentary elections.
In his address, the PC President reiterated the party’s “unwavering commitment” to public welfare, asserting its dedication to addressing the issues crucial to improving people’s lives. “The party is dedicated to catalyzing a positive transformation across Jammu and Kashmir, creating opportunities for youth, empowering communities, and fostering an environment conducive to holistic economic growth for all sections of society,” he emphasized.
Lone urged party workers to actively champion the party’s development-centric agenda at the grassroots level and educate people about the party’s “people-first” policy. “For a long time, the people of J&K have yearned for an authentic voice from within their midst to genuinely represent their aspirations in the corridors of power. Today, they have entrusted our party leadership with this noble task, as evidenced by the numerous joinings and outpouring of love from the public at large. We are wholeheartedly committed to fulfilling this responsibility,” he stated.
The members present at the meeting commended the party’s leadership for prioritizing pertinent public issues and pledged to align their efforts with the party’s directives under Lone’s guidance, the PC said.
