Srinagar, Mar 05: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary and In-Charge J&K Tarun Chugh on Tuesday said the people in Kashmir have high hopes on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s able leadership and are eagerly waiting for his arrival on Thursday, March 07. He said the party has made full preparations for the mega event and people from nook and corner of Kashmir are expected to attend the mega rally.
Talking to reporters here, Chugh said, “Narendra Modi Ji after becoming Prime Minister in May 2014 had a broad vision for Jammu and Kashmir. A new chapter of development has unfolded in every sector after August 2019.”
Highlighting the achievement of the BJP-led government, he said, “The people of Jammu and Kashmir have 100 percent medical insurance. Every village is connected through roads, two AIIMS have been set up in Kashmir and Jammu regions. People had not thought of railway connectivity and highways. Now there is development all around.”
The BJP leader said the Zojila Tunnel is under construction and it will boost all-weather connectivity between Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir. So, Kashmir will be connected with New Delhi via rail, he said.
Chugh said people from every corner of the country are coming to see Kashmir and explore its hidden beauty. “It has boosted tourism in the region. In the past, this region was known as a terrorism capital but PM Modi turned it into a tourism capital. Separatism has ended,” he said.
On PM Modi’s arrival, he said the people of J&K are enthusiastic to participate in the mega rally on March 07. “All arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the rally. As we received inputs from all districts of J&K, around 1.5 lakh to 2 lakh people are going to attend it,” he added.

Chugh, accompanied by J&K BJP General Secretary Sunil Sharma and other senior leaders of the party, took stock of the preparations and said the entire Union Territory is enthused in anticipation of the PM’s visit.
He said this is the first visit of PM Modi after the abrogation of Article 370 and it will turn a new leaf in the chapter of ushering a new era in J&K. The BJP leader listed various welfare schemes introduced in J&K by the prime minister that have benefited people of all classes.
