Amritsar, Dec 21:Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, after casting his vote in the Municipal Corporation elections in Punjab, spoke to reporters in Amritsar today.

Tarun Chugh emphasized the importance of elections in a democracy, stating, “Elections are like festivals in a democracy, and casting a vote is the biggest strength of the people. This strength has been given to us by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar through the Constitution.”

He urged voters to come out in large numbers, saying, “Your vote will give a befitting reply to Punjab’s tyrannical and autocratic government.

Today, Punjab has waited for the elections, and people are eager to cast their votes and express their anguish. The law and order situation in Punjab is at its worst. Bomb blasts are happening all over Punjab, and in the past month, this is the fifth bomb blast in a police station. It is a tragedy that the Bhagwant Mann government is incompetent and negligent, having failed miserably in maintaining law and order.”

On the reporter’s question whether the lotus would bloom in Punjab, Chugh reiterated his confidence, saying, “Yes, surely the lotus will bloom in Punjab because the people of Punjab have witnessed the failures of both Congress and AAP. Both the governments of these parties have let down the people of Punjab. Till now, the promise of a job for every household has not been fulfilled, and today’s vote is a befitting answer to the incompetent government of Bhagwant Mann’s AAP government.”
