Srinagar, April 03 : The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar has released a weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, covering the period from April 3 to April 11.
A generally cloudy sky with a possibility of light rain or snow in higher reaches of North Kashmir and Sonamarg-Zojila axis is expected on April 3. The next few days, from April 4 to 7, are expected to be generally dry.
However, on April 8, cloudy skies with a possibility of light snow in higher reaches of North Kashmir and Sonamarg are predicted. From April 9 to 10, cloudy skies with light rain or snow at many places in Kashmir Division and scattered places in Jammu Division are expected.
On April 11, cloudy skies with light rain or snow at isolated places are predicted in the morning, followed by improvement.
Travelers, tourists, and transporters are advised to follow administrative and traffic advisories, while farmers are encouraged to continue their farm operations.
A thunderstorm with gusty winds (30-40 km/h) is expected at a few places on April 3 in the late afternoon.
