Lt Governor Sinha directed the Deputy Commissioners and Senior Superintendents of Police to personally visit significant religious sites and ensure all necessary measures are in place for the smooth and peaceful conduct of these auspicious occasions. He emphasized seamless coordination among all line departments for the upcoming festivals.
Specific directives were issued to ensure elaborate measures concerning water and power supply, medical facilities, fire and emergency services, and sanitation. The Lt Governor also stressed the importance of comprehensive security arrangements, traffic and crowd management, designated parking areas, regular market checks, and the availability of essential commodities at regulated prices.
He instructed the Divisional Commissioners and the Relief Commissioner to work in close coordination to provide a pleasant experience for devotees during the Mata KheerBhawaniMela. Ensuring transportation, accommodation, power and water supply, sanitation, medical aid, fire and emergency services, waterproof tents, and security were highlighted as priorities to be in place well in advance.
Lt Governor Sinha also directed concerned Deputy Commissioners to conduct on-spot assessments of the facilities at the shrine and identify any additional service requirements for the comfortable stay of devotees. Taking stock of transportation arrangements for pilgrims, he instructed the concerned authorities to implement necessary measures. Additionally, he emphasized the need for arrangements to tackle any adverse weather conditions during the Mela to prevent inconvenience to the pilgrims.
